Party in the Park
The Annual Party in the Park Festival took place on the 5th of March, which the Melbourne Origami Group was invited to teach at. The day proved to be an enormous success with many children and adults alike learning to fold various models and have a good time discovering the art of paper folding. A constant number of people were eager to try their hand at origami, keeping our teachers constantly busy. It seemed as though there was no end to the flow of interested people. During the course of the day, tiny eyes twinkled with unrestrained delight as they were given the opportunity to create a simple masterpiece from an ordinary piece of paper. Our reward for teaching; the delighted grin of a child or the immense look of satisfaction of an adult as they brought their paper to life. A special thanks to Steven, Brenda and Jerard for volunteering their time to continue spreading the art of origami and the possibilities that come with it.
