M.O.G. Meeting

Melboure Origami Dec 2002

We met again for our last meeting of 2002. It was a small but productive meeting. I arrived first this time which is a little unusual and I promise it wont happen again :-)
Martin arrived shortly after and I started my show and tell. Just as well I had something new, this time a collection of hat's. We started to fold one right away. the first was a stockmans hat, which is a traditional Australian hat. Shortly after we had folded our first hat Brenda and Matt arrived. We discused the size of the hat relative to the size of the starting paper. We decided to try to modify the preportions so that it was more efficent. This time Matt and Brenda joined in. After folding this we looked though the other hats (photos below) and started folding a fairly simple crown. After this Matt and I talked a little more about origami Bon-bons and possible ways of wraping our christmas presents.
And now to the photos

Here's a photo of Matt wearing his new crown.

And Martin wearing his new crown.

Me (Darren ) Testing our a new top hat design. A little small I think.

Brenda just completing her crown. More of my sample hats in the background.

Well that's it for another meeting. Our next meeting is Friday the 17th ofJanuary. All are welcome.
Regards
