Sayonara Tommy
This week we say sayonara, mata ne, aba yo, seeya later, cheers mate, so long, to our good friend (tommy says best friend) and origami expert from Japan. From late last year to May this year Tommy was a keen a key member of our Melbourne Origami Group. He was a key folder in the Increasing Origami Project that produced "Yoshi" the origami dinosaur. Without his help we would have been stuck not being able to read the original Japanese text in the dinosaur diagrams. So to say farewell, and bid him our best, we gave him a choice of books from the Borders shelf and he choose a Robert Lang book. Here is Martin presenting Tommy with the book.
When asked to write something to the group he responded with the comment:
"I'll be back, kuso guys"
What can he mean, when will he be back? Who are the kuso guys?
